What is the Carnival of Chemistry?

The Carnival of Chemistry, now in its eighth year, is an afternoon of fun-filled, safe family activities related to chemistry, brought to you by people who want to share interest in science with the children of Lawrence and the surrounding area.

Several local groups of chemists sponsor the Carnival each year, particularly the Kansas University section of the American Chemical Society and the University of Kansas Department of Chemistry.  Many other businesses in Lawrence and the area chip in.

The Carnival of Chemistry is part of National Chemistry Week, sponsored by the American Chemical Society each year, but the Carnival of Chemistry is only at KU in Lawrence!
